Cherry Kingsley Funeral Expenses

On November 30th 2021, Cherry Lynne Kingsley, beloved Mother, Sister, and Friend left to be with the Creator.

I am Cherry’s eldest sister, i am raising funds to cover funeral related expenses, head stone, Celebration of Life, and feast.

Cherry spent many years as a child advocate for exploited children.  Amongst her advocacy and activism, she presented  an “Agenda for Action” at the United Nations, addressing the World Congress Against Commercial Exploitation of Children in Stockholm, and lectures at Universities. She co-hosted an International Summit with Senator Landon Pearson called “Out From The Shadows”, and co- authored a report “Sacred Lives” with Melanie Mark while working for child rights organization Save the Children.

In 2000, Cherry was the recipient of the Governor General’s Award in Commemoration of the Persons Case. And was also awarded the Queens Golden Jubilee Medal for Humanities in 2002.

Cherry touched the hearts of many, her memory and inspiration will live on forever in all who knew and loved her.

Due to current conditions of highways in BC, and Covid, Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.

On behalf of the family, we thank you for your support and out pouring of love.  We take comfort in reading all the condolences and tributes of our beautiful sister.  We know  Cherry is loved by many, we also send our love to those that are mourning her loss. ❤️
