Chemo Care Bags

When I was younger, my mom fundraised money to make care bags for chemo patients. Unfortunately, she was diagnosed with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma Breast Cancer in April. She was approaching the end of her recovery from surgery, however, the doctors recommended chemo for preventative measures which will take place over the next 3 months starting July 24th. Because of her, I've decided to fundraise to get the project moving again not only to pay a good deed to those who need it, but also to show her some support through the coming months.

The bags may include:
- Mouthwash
- Snacks
- Blankets
- Socks
- Kleenex
- Puzzle Books/Pencils
- Hand Sanitizer
- Tea
- Letter including names of people who helped fund their bags
- Anything else that could help the treat symptoms of chemotherapy and lessen the grudge of cancer

With the goal of $3600 in mind, we will use the funds to purchase 100 bags. 50% of the funds go towards the bag itself, and 50% goes towards the goodies inside the bag. The total cost per bag plus the contents comes out to $36 including tax and shipping. All bags will be prepared and delivered by hand to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Lake Forest.

All sized donations are accepted and go straight to the chemo care bags. No donation is too small.
