Chemo For Kimmi

Hello, my name is Cory Bird and I am creating this GoFundMe on behalf of my mom Kimberly Fielding, aka Momma Bear. In October of 2019 she was diagnosed with Small Cell Carcinoma of her lungs which then metastasized to her liver. She is currently undergoing chemotherapy in order to treat the cancer and to live to fight another day! She was used to caring for her father who died of brain cancer, but never thought it would happen to her. So far she has had two rounds of chemo with the first happening during a two week hospital stay. There could be up to six rounds of chemo to start with before other treatment options are looked into. Without insurance to offset the costs, the bills are piling up and will become insurmountable. We wish to pay as much as we can on our own, but we realize we will need help. In addition to the hospital and treatment costs, there is the costs of transportation to treatment, hotel stays, as well as food and other associated costs. Also at the beginning of 2020 will we need to move closer to her hospital (St. Thomas West in Nashville, TN) to provide easier access to her current and future treatment and care. We hope to be able to offer weekly updates and photos as to her condition and how she is doing and to express our extreme appreciation and gratitude. Her chemotherapy consists of: Etoposide, CARBOplatin, Granisetron, Aprepitant, and Dexamethasone.
