Chelsea and Garretts Angel Baby

My name is Chelsea and I just kind of wanted to share the back story as to why this is being set up. My boyfriend Garrett and I went to the doctor Tuesday November 21st excited as any other couple who hits 20 weeks to find out the sex of our baby. Instead we learned more than the sex of our baby. The doctor told us that the baby had fluid on her brain and he wanted to send us to Omaha Nebraska to see a specialist. So Wednesday 22nd we headed to Omaha to have further testing done and another ultrasound. The specialist we saw gave us the same news but more, our daughter has a double cleft lip, holes in her heart, her kidneys are not functioning properly and she did not form a brain just her brain stem. This is not news any parent wants to hear about their unborn baby, especially at the ages 20 and 21. We had an amniocentesis done to get a proper diagnosis. Thursday November 23rd during thanksgiving the doctor was so kind to take a moment out of his thanksgiving with family to call with the results. Our daughter was diagnosed with trisomy 13 which is fatal no matter the choice we make. They said she more than likely will pass in utero but could make it to birth but only survive a few hours to a few days, maybe. This is very hard for us to deal with as we have a 3 year old little girl who needs us and deserves the world, and my boyfriend is the only one working at this time. I’m a full time college student about to start nursing school. Anything helps at this point as the last thing we thought we’d have to do was plan a funeral for our baby.



I am setting up this account for Chelsea and Garrett to help pay for Funeral expenses, rent and utilities and groceries so that Garrett and other loved ones may take a sufficient amount of time to mourn and be with Chelsea and Garrett and little miss Adalynn at this very difficult time. I am trying to get as much as we can together as soon as possible because unfortunatly there is no gaurentee Chelsea will make it to term with her beautiful babygirl.
