Chef Peter Needs Our Help

Hi. I'm Howard Merlin Wulkan, a good friend of Chef Peter Lilienthal. Pete stayed on Pine Island at his home in Bokeelia during Hurricane Ian. Immediately following the storm, he started helping his neighbors by cooking for them in his front yard, using only a BBQ grill. He then continued doing this every night for those in Bokeelia that were stranded, had homes destroyed, etc... He led a group of people every day, heading down to the docks to retrieve supplies, sometimes 2 and 3 times a day. Donations of generators, tarps, gasoline, oil, cleaning supplies and food were delivered by a very special gentleman named Richard Dear from Sarasota.

Peter spent his days running back and forth on the island, helping people by delivering necessities to help them stay alive. Ironically, he was able to get back and forth in his new Kia, purchased only a few weeks prior to the storm. From generators to food, from tarps to volunteering to putting up plywood across broken windows of strangers homes, nothing stopped him from helping his friends, both old and new.

Peter is an independent Chef and has no "job" to return to. He continues to volunteer in order to help other people get back on their feet while he slowly makes preparations to relaunch his "Foodie Group," which delivers weekly meals all over Pine Island.

He's helped so many and now he needs our help. Pete is selfless, compassionate & has had an incredible, positive effect on our community. He's brought strangers together under the worst duress of their lives and many have become friends as a result. Let's return the love and help him pay his bills for the next few months. The money will go DIRECTLY to Peter to help him buy some time to get back on HIS feet, as he's helped so many in need.
