Cheesy's Lung Surgery

Hi everyone, I really need some help for my Cheesy. She developed spontaneous pneumothorax yesterday and will need to have surgery to remove the lung lobe that is leaking. Cheesy is an otherwise healthy 7 year old girl. According to her doctors, this type of condition is usually a random, isolated incident and surgery is curative 85% of the time. This surgery will save her life — without it, this problem will keep coming back, and each time it’s life threatening. Her doctors say that she will do fine without one of her lung lobes (dogs have five), but she just won’t run any marathons. She’s a Netflix kind of girl anyway. ☺️ Recovery will be challenging, but we’re up to the task if it means we have lots of years left together. Cheesy and I found each other three years ago through Make a Difference Rescue. She traveled up here from South Carolina after being pulled from a high-kill shelter. She is so special to me and we’ve gotten each other through some really difficult times. Cheesy’s surgery and aftercare will cost $5000, but every little bit would help. If I could, I would pay entirely on my own, but I just don’t have the means. If we happen to go over our goal, any additional funds will be donated to Make a Difference Rescue, who brought my Cheesy to me. Will you please help us?
