Chavakacheri SaiBaba Temple - Flood & Covid Relief

They say that home is where the heart is, and for most people, hometowns are an integral part of their persona. The friends, family, and overall environment nurture an individual into the very fabric of the person they become.
As the years go by, that often leaves the individual with a thought... "My hometown has given so much to me, what can I do now to give back to it?"
In the early 2010s, Rajadurai Ramalingam and his family had set out to open a Community TempleThe SaiBaba Center in their small hometown of Chavakachcheri, Sri Lanka, to do just that and give back to the community that served him, and his family so well throughout their formative years.
Through the work of Family and Friends, the temple was completed in December 2014 and has served the members of the local community ever since. The temple not only serves as a place of community worship but has also been able to serve occasional meals to the community, and act as a center for programs and events to promote individual growth for each citizen.
Unfortunately, the Town and Temple have recently been hit by a very bad flood, damaging houses and leaving citizens without essentials such as food.
The Goal: This Go-Fund-Me is to collect raw food materials to distribute to the town that has been devastated by this flooding. Additionally, funds will be used to restore the temple and its programs, as well as to have an on-going food supply to help aid the community in its rebuilding efforts.
All donations of any amount are appreciated, and 100% of the proceeds will go to this recovery effort. If you can, please join us in giving back to the community that gave so much to our family.
