Some people... don't want a photo, but want to support. They want to support this career I'm embarking in. It's $8-$15 per roll. Each roll you get 36 shots, usually with the style of chasing the mm, I get like 90 shots in one roll, but hey its still 36 frames regardless of how many clicks. 36 opportunities. Some are bad and some are simply glorious and that's when i'm just done. My heart drops and I drop to thanksgiving prayer. This is a gift for me to enjoy and to possibly retire with. When I think about my entire photo career. It had to have lead me here only through his grace and his time plan. I had the gift 10 years ago, but I didn't have the characteristics, the knowledge, the fundamentals of conversing with people with a smile, the patience of scanning, the details in color, the level and skill to see and feel colors within the photographs and that's why he was like nah, I'm holding this gift until you can really appreciate where it came from and what to do with it. What am I to do with it moving forward? I want to share. These photographs with you. For you to feel peace through it. There are some complicated pieces in my work, yet I promise you, you will feel the safety net like you can rest your heart. A place where you come home lay all your worries on the couch and almost feel an invisible hug through the image.
I have many dreams.. and visions... but one of them is that one day to own a gallery but not just a gallery with like 5 "limited" (don't even get me started with limited, artists if you're printing on giclee don'ttttt get me started on limited. Bye) pieces. One, I need to sell some flowers on behalf of my mom and have a little cafe in it, but a gallery like a library. Yes, a photo library!! Like cool 35mm film instagram page but in real life.... I know brilliant or what?! A place where you can find images throughout the world, from Africa (working on Morocco, honestly though I didn't know Morocco was in Africa until... like a month before the trip, I know I'm horrible I'm just the visual messenger! anywayyyyy) Denmark!, Spain, USA, and hopefully many other places. Ideally there will be many sections, by city and then also by category city scape, flowers, via the promised land, mountains, clouds, by year and also when this print was actually printed and taken. I printed quite a lot already and as I printed I realized this is not for right now, right nowwww to sell, I mean it is and it isn't. It's something bigger than I thought. My vision can change too, to whatever he's called me to and I know it's bigger than this if its something he wants, but I think this is where he's setting the bar for me, a starting point, a guide. I realized this is something I can leave here for the next creative generation. For creatives to inspire from and for everyone who's heart is open can feel the safety net hug we are all able to feel through photography.
So I have friends, family, and acquaintances who want to help with THIS journey, not necessarily for a photo or for my trips, but for the present and future. So YEA I would love your help! A dollar will help for a bus ride in ... not nyc but somewhere for sure :) I am truly so thankful, because I know when I receive any amount it is not the amount. It's your hug and your heart shining through each penny (that was so corny and so true. I want to barf too haha) Thank you, love you, bye.

Hello!
I'm Annabel. I'm a photographer based in Los Angeles, California. I have been photographing for 15 years. When I graduated college, I emailed a good amount of agents to try to get out there. It didn't happen. 10 years later, I am brought back to film to rediscover the inner bliss of photography. Using everything I've learned in all 15 years of shooting, I am developing, scanning, editing, photoshopping and utilizing everything I have learned throughout my photography life. It is a blessing to be in this moment with photography.
This year, I have been selected to join The Other Art Fair in the end of March 2019. A booth costs $1680 + VAT. Printing my images will cost roughly $300, and framing... hmm I don't really want to think about it haha..I 'd like to ask you to help me if you have enjoyed my work or found it personally moving you in any way. I started shooting like this in 2018, and I have received an award with International Photo Award and Tokyo International Foto Award within a couple months (links are below). I am dumbfounded at every image and excited to continue to share my work and vision with the world.
This will be my third show within less than a year of starting this form of photography. My first show was at Team One Agency in Los Angeles, CA and the second was a group show at Root Studios in Brooklyn, NY. However, this is the first show where I will need to use my own expenses. But this is the opportunity where actual art buyers, gallerists, collectors, whoever else needs to see my work will be attending for sure!
Hopeful that the show goes well, when it is possible on my end I will return this offering with a print(s). This will be within this year. Please leave a comment with your favorite images using the MM number (the image caption) on my website. When I have a chance, I will email requesting an address and mail out your prints. They will be printed personally by me and signed. Prints will be sent out to people with donations over $25. The bigger the donation the bigger the print, or extra prints so write a couple MM's if you can't decide!
