Chaseton's Story
Chaseton was born on September 23rd, 2012 with a rather severe heart condition called Transposition of the Great Arteries. (TGA) He also has a perforation in his ventricular septum (VSD). Last, but by no means least, he has a Pulmonary Stenosis. So you ask, what does this all mean? To break it down in to its most simple form it means we have ourselves one very sick baby.
If you would like to get more technical:
TGA is when the pulmonary artery and the aorta artery have swapped places causing a disruption in the proper flow of blood throughout the body.
VSD is a hole in the membrane or wall between the 2 lower or pumping chambers of the heart. The ventricles.
Pulmonary stenosis is the narrowing or
partial blockage of the pulmonary artery.
So that's where you come in. Chase's parents, Sammy and Brandon, are
staying with him at hospital he was transferred to in Atlanta. However,
extended out-of-town trips can take their toll, and with the added medical
expenses, the costs of treating their baby are starting to add up. We
know times are tough, but every little bit helps take some of the weight off of
this new family's shoulders. Thank you all so much for your love and
support.
