Charlotte's Jurassic Coast Ultra Challenge

In May 2022 I will be doing something horrendous to help achieve something great, for an amazing charity close to my heart. I will be hiking a staggering 100km in just 2 days (that works out at over 30 miles a day on average), across the striking terrain of the UKs famous Jurassic Coast. I would love to raise over £600 for Cancer Research UK and literally every donation, no matter how big or small, will make such a difference. Let's help beat cancer together! Thank you in advance for your contribution to this worthwhile cause, that means so much to me. 1 in 2 of us will develop cancer in our lifetime. That's frigging terrifying, and that's also a lot of heartbreak, trauma and loss that Cancer Research UK are working tirelessly to prevent. For more information on Cancer Research UK, please visit their website: https://www.cancerresearchuk.org/ - They are the world's leading charity dedicated to research on the causes, treatment and prevention of cancer. Thanks to their research, more people are surviving cancer than ever before. I personally have a huge amount to be grateful for in terms of how far we've come with understanding and overcoming cancer, but this last year has also taught me - we have a long way to go to beat it too.

Aside from the brilliant work that CR UK are doing, I will need all the support I can get. For those of you who know me, you'll know that I have done various hikes (voluntarily) in the past. From Duke of Edinburgh at school (Bronze through to Gold), to the West Highland Way in 2019, and then a series of monster expeditions in South America during some travels. But I never learn. I am not designed for these types of activities. Each time I embark on such an adventure I end up losing all of my toenails (yep, all ten), my dignity, and my ability to function as a pleasant human being. Yet here we are. So please, if you don't want to donate because of how great Cancer Research UK are, or even for me, this terribly informed decision and my doomed toenails; then please donate to make the misery my team mates will inevitably endure, worth it in the end.

Thanks to all who donate - it's time to get training!
