Help Little Charlie and Family!!!

Beautiful baby Charlie Is the latest addition to the Dieth family. He is the second child of Charles and Lauren Dieth, who were both ecstatic to meet their new baby boy. Charlie also has a big sister, Ashlyne Isabella (8 years old) that loves her baby brother:) Their joy soon turned to fear when Charlie was diagnosed with an extremely rare genetic condition, Pierre-Robin Sequence, Cleft Palate and sleep apnea. He also has a broken collar bone that is taking longer than normal to heal. From day one he was having difficulty breathing and eating and this led to growth problems because Charlie was working so hard to breathe he was using more calories than he was taking in. Charlie was soon transferred to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit of Blair E. Batson Childrens Hospital, where he is receiving the advanced medical care that he requires. Charlie had to have surgery at 4 weeks old to insert a feeding tube into his stomach due to not being able to suck properly due to his conditions. Charlie also required a sleep study due to his breathing problems. The sleep study results indicated Charlie has apnea. A week later we found out that he was going to require another surgery. Charlie needed "Mandibular Jaw Distraction Surgery" to improve his breathing and eating.  It has been 4 days since this surgery and he is still on a ventilator.  He will have another surgery in 3 months and will require multiple surgeries as he grows.  He has been in the intensive care unit since the day he was born and the doctors are still unsure as to when he will be able to come home. Once Charlie is released from the hospital, he will require home health checks. Unfortunately, Lauren is not going to be able to work due to the advanced care little Charlie requires. 

 Many have asked what they can do, so we have started this fundraiser to try and provide some financial relief for this family. As you can imagine, the financial impact has been significant and will continue to be for many years.
