Charley's Chemo Fund

My husband Charley was recently diagnosed with diffuse B cell Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma. He had not been feeling good for some time but not saying anything. He was helping me take care of my 98 year old Mother who was dying from cancer. After she passed in May 2017, he bacame worse. Was sick to his stomach all the time & had swollen lymph nodes. 

Finally got him to the Doctor & after CT scans, Ultrasound, xrays, lab tests & 2 lymph node biopsys we learned why he was having all those symptoms.  Still waiting for bone marrow biopsy results. Right now, he is Stage 3. If the lymphoma is in the bone marrow he will change to Stage 4.

Unfortunately we only have basic Medicare. Normally we get on just fine with our social security income, but the costs of the tests, lab work and treatment for Charley are quickly draining all our resorces. He has just started treatment and already the bills are over $15,000.00

Charley just had his 1st treatment with at least 5 more to go. We live in a small town without an oncologist or oncology department. The nearest one is 90 miles away, so for each treatment it will require a long drive and sometimes an over night stay.  So every treatment means, in addition to that cost, we also have expenses for lodging when needed, gas, & food.

Charley has always been there for everyone whenever they call. He is the kind of guy that will give you his last shirt, travel 1000 miles to lend a hand when someone is in need and more often than not at his own expense. It is hard for him to ask others for help. But we need all the prayers, moral support and any help to offset the expense. Thanks in advance.
