Charles Sheely's Cancer Fight

This account has been set up to help raise money to help my family with my final expenses. Unfortunately my cancer has gotten worse and my life may be coming to an end sooner than I would like, my doctor believes I only have several weeks to several months left. When I was 1st diagnosed I didn't have life insurance and was never able to get any so now I'm facing leaving my family with the cost for funeral expenses. I was diagnosed on October 1st 2015 with stage 4 Esophageal cancer. I had a tumor in my esophagus and a couple cancerous lesions, one one my shoulder blade and one on my skull. The doctors were surprised I had not had any symptoms up to that point since it was so advanced. I started out doing chemo which was very rough, there was only slight improvement but I was stable and nothing was spreading which they said was the most important thing. The Dr also tried several rounds of radiation to see if that would help, it helped some too and still nothing was spreading. I have undergone multiple stent placements and removals in my esophagus to help with my swallowing of food. Everything seemed to be going good but then I fell on some ice and fractured some ribs in January of 2016, the healing of my ribs seemed very slow and I ended up with fluid in my lung which ended up having cancer cells in it. So the Dr adjusted the chemo and we did several more rounds and then new scans of everything. I received those results on July 3rd and they were not at all what we were hoping for. The cancer is now in both lungs instead of just the one, several of my blood count numbers were off and there is extra fluid in my abdomen and the tissue in the abdomen didn't look right, so the chemo didn't help, the cancer is still spreading. The Dr has a couple options left he can try but he feels with or without treatment I'm still looking at only several weeks to several months left.
