Charles is an exceptional special needs child with a contagious personality that is creative, lively, and humorous, with a zest for life and enthusiasm that inspires others. Once you meet Charles, you never forget him or the positive impact he puts on your life about what life is about!

Charles has been riding at Rocking Horse Ranch (RHR) since Jan of 2011 and since then, while riding, vaulting, working with horses, instructors, and volunteers, he has developed a love and passion that I haven’t seen in him before. He thrives for those times with the horses and at times that is all he talks about.

Charles has been selected for the Professional Association Therapeutic Horsemanship International Equestrian Youth Award for 2017. The award banquet is located in San Antonio, TX, on 10 November 2017. Attendance for Charles and his parents is a once in a lifetime experience that would further enhance Charles' body, mind, and soul. Attendance requires travel, lodging, food, and registration, which reservations must be completed by the 1st of October 2017. Charles was the ONE Youth chosen for this amazing award for all his hard work and passion he has gained with the horses while at RHR for therapeutic riding/vaulting.

Your donation would show your support for an accomplishment in Charles' life that we, his grandparents and family, never thought would be obtainable. Charles has had many obstacles put in his way but with God and his family, he has conquered them all through his dedication and love for what he does at RHR.

We have always supported Charles' endeavors since birth. We were told he would never run and call me Grandma. We all have seen him go from becoming wheelchair bound to both feet reconstructed and walking again. Dreams do come through by God's grace. This trip is more than his family can handle alone considering his daily medical needs and equipment requirements. We would be grateful for any donation to help Charles achieve this lifetime experience of accepting his award in person that he so well deserves.
