My loving daughter, Charity Leah Cook, was in a horrific accident on the night of March 1st, 2015 in Aptos/Watsonville, CA. She's still in the ICU with multiple broken bones, punctured lungs, and internal organ damage. She can't breath on her own and has to live with a breathing machine. This happened due to a drunk driver. If you're unfamiliar with the accident, you can find information on the KION website.
There were 7 kids in the car, and only Charity and two others survived. Although she was one of the lucky ones, she'll have a long journey to health, comfort, and happiness. She has touched every life she's ever come across - to know my child is to love her. She's a beautiful person and we need help bringing her back to health.
Hospital bills are going to be astronomical, not to mention rehabilitation, and travel expenses for family - she's located in San Jose currently, but her parents and other family live over 70 miles away. Missed work and travel are costing an already strapped family in unimaginable ways. Any donation will be greatly appreciated and honored with good wishes for your family and friends.
