How many of us realized when we woke up the mid week of March that our whole lives would soon be totally tipped upside down? The Novel Corona Virus - a strange new disease the world was calling COVID 19 seemed to be quickly taking up more and more of our airtime, space on our social media pages and soon all of our daily lives!
Now, a month later, we have mulled, cried, are empathetic and maybe even donate where we can but are ultimately grateful that when we pull up the covers at night, our family is safe.
Now imagine you are a patient of this virus who is all alone, unable to connect with your family because you are in an isolation ward. You have your phone but have no way of charging it (because who goes in an ambulance or goes to the ER with their phone charger?) COVID 19 has been called a lonely, lonely virus and with our resources stretched so very thin, mobile phone chargers are most definitely at the back of the list on essential needs - so until your phone dies, you are in luck - make it count!
Now, I can tell you how you can help. A x3 by 3 pack multi mobile phone cable with a 5ft cable costs around $10.99, and a dual USB wall charger costs around $9.99 on Amazon.com - so for just $21, you can give 3 patients a lifeline to their families.
My goal is to be able to give 1000 COVID patients a way to get in touch with their families while they are in hospital.
