I have lowered the amount that I am trying to raise because I have been able to sell some of my keepsakes and buy some of the equipment that I need in order to capture the quality of images that will have the desired therapeutic effect, and attract the kind of sales that can sustain my volunteer expenses.

About the Photographer
Dennis Woodruff, the “Westside Chaplain” is a man who is called by God to serve the lost and lonely in long term care facilities, nursing homes, memory care centers, and prisons. His passion is unwavering, even though funds and physical strength often limit the scope.
About the Ministry
The primary purpose of Healing Hope Photography is to share the love of God and the Gospel of Jesus Christ. One of the tools is photo art. Dennis donates both his time and the photos to so many of the people who are forgotten and alone. He says, “I donate as much of my photo art to the residents as I can afford to because they are not able to get out and view God's beautiful world anymore. They especially love wildlife and landscape images.”
About the Photos
We have discovered that the photos are being used to dispel the fear, sadness, loneliness, agitation, and anger that often plague these dear people. They produce healing, comfort, and even joy. Activity directors even use them to stimulate the minds of those who have stopped talking and to help them remember their words and engage in conversation again.
About the Need
Cameras and photography equipment are very expensive. If you add to that the mileage and lodging for photoshoots, Dennis finds that his small fixed income doesn’t stretch far enough. Therefore, he has set up this Gofundme account. Please prayerfuly consider helping him to help the lonley.
