Chantalle’s fight to Kick Cancer's Ass
Don protégé
My very dear friend Chantalle is 33 years old and was recently diagnosed with HER2+ which is an aggressive breast cancer. For those of you who know her, you know that she is an extraordinary human being. She is cheerful, loving, unbelievably strong and always puts her friends and family before herself.
After chemotherapy Chantalle will then need to undergo surgery to remove the cancer. Subsequently after the chemo and the surgery she will need radiation treatment. Because of this, she will be unable to work and will likely not be able to return until she is in remission which can be up to 9 months. Short term disability unfortunately does not provide full pay. Some of her medical expenses are not covered and with the everyday necessities of life, money will be very limited. Today she had to pay $800 beyond her health coverage for just one of the many prescriptions she will require. Chantalle is a very proud person and is hesitant in allowing me to ask for assistance however she and I both know she will not be able to fight this without help from her "team" of her family and friends.
Chantalle is one of the strongest, most selfless people I have ever known and is always there to give her love and support or the shirt off her back (literally sometimes and unsolicited lol) to anyone that needs it. Now, it's time that we send back some of that love and support to her. Anything you can donate will be truly appreciated-every penny counts.
Everything we can do to help and surround her with love is what is most important so she can focus on beating this thing. Please spread the word. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
