Change for Cash

Our sweet Cash lived a life of adventure, mischief, and love.

Cash Burnaman was born in Aspen on July 30, 2005 with an unnamed chromosomal rearrangement on his X chromosome. He worked hard to learn to walk and communicate. He was a charming little person--sweet and lovable. Cash passed away in 2017 from a sudden cardiac pulmonary event.


During his life, we gave Cash every opportunity to reach his potential and to live a full life.


He visited India, Mexico, Hawaii, Costa Rica, Puerto Rico, Alaska, and more. He was an avid rider of horses, a visitor of Disney World, and lover of all kinds of music. He had a rich education and incredible caregivers.


The costs of providing for a child with disabilities are high and our family could not have given Cash this life without assistance. Many people helped to give Cash a full life. Some gave time, many provided money, and all provided love.
