Champions in Action Guatemala

Last summer I was sent to a foreign country where they spoke a foreign language with little to no information on why I was going or what I would be doing. I didn't know a single person, and I couldn't even tell you where Guatemala was on a globe. (It's between Mexico and South America)
All that I knew was for some abundantly clear reason, God wanted me there and He didn't allow anything to stop me from arriving there.
So I went. With the knowledge that I would be going to a girls' soccer camp for at-risk youth, to help cheerlead for the mentors who live in Guatemala and work in the lives of these young women all year. The only job I had was to follow the three F's of ministry: Flexibility, flexibilty, and flexibilty. So when I was stuck in Mexico and missed my flight to Guatemala, it didn't matter because God wasn't done working.
From day one of meeting with the entire Champions Staff, other U.S. volunteers, and especially the Guatemalan mentors and girls, my heart broke in the best way possible. Seeing God work through the lives of those who love him, to reach the lost and to father the fatherless, and to raise up warriors of Christ is something that once you experiece the divine nature of God, you can't ignore His calling.
So this June I'll be bringing my wonderful girlfriend Melissa with me to the place that changed everything. We are required to pay for our airfare which can be around $650-900 and our camp fees are $800 each. Melissa is currently a full time student in Flagstaff Arizona and I'm working at the Downtown Aquraium trying to save money for us.
Please join us and experience what God has in store. If he's not done working, than I'm not done waiting. God will get us wherever He sees fit, and He will also be the only one who can keep me from getting to El Faro.
The overwhelming never-ending reckless love of God is the only thing that can satisfy the human soul. Please watch this video of transformation from last August.
