Thank you for visiting this page in effort to raise money for Challenger/Miracle Field baseball teams in the Rochester, NY area!
For those who are unaware of what Challenger/Miracle League baseball is, it can be explained in two words. PURE JOY! This is an opportunity for people with disabilities, of all ages, to be able to enjoy a sport that they may not have the luxury of playing any time they want. Challenger/Miracle League baseball provides an atmosphere where there is no focus on how we are different, but only what makes us alike. With this focus, the organization allows for everyone to be brought together, regardless of their circumstances, for times where children and adults can play in whatever sport/activity they desire.
Starting last year (February 2017), I was humbled to be able to host the first Challenger/Miracle League Baseball Spring Training with help from the wonderful donation of facilities/food by Salmon Creek Country Club (Spencerport, NY). I’m extremely excited to announce that we will be having another Spring Training this upcoming year on January 27th, 2018!
Taking fault, I did not put enough effort into raising money for this event last year. In order for these events to keep taking place and for a variety of other events in the Rochester area, we are respectfully asking for DONATIONS of any amount. This past summer, the Challenger Miracle Field of Greater Rochester was built, which provides accessible facilities for participants (http://rochestermiraclefield.vorg/#). This was all built with the generous donations of numerous people, but there is still work to be done to try and provide services/facilities like this to all towns in the Rochester area.
I would greatly appreciate any donation you may be willing to give. All of the money raised will be split between the participating Challenger/Miracle League teams at the Spring Training event on January 27, 2018. Thanks so much for your time and generosity!
