When I hear the words "Brain Tumor" I have always thought of elderly people, or an unfortunate person who had been dealt a bad hand of cards in life. I never would have thought that those words would have ever effected me. It all started over this last summer when after a fun trip to the lake I noticed a growth in my right nipple and discovered that it was lactating. Being a young man of 22 this caused me quite an alarm, thinking I had breast cancer I decided to go to the doctors. I thought I would be going to one doctor and have only one visit. However several tests later, including an MRI, they discovered a growth on my pituitary gland that is causing me hormone imbalance. This is causing my kidneys to not use any of the water I put into my body, which makes me dehydrated and has given me Diabetes Insipidus. My doctors have said the growth is either a Rathke's cyst or a tumor, I have been scheduled for an operation to remove the cyst by one of the finest brain surgeons in Idaho. Currently I am a full time student studying at Brigham Young University Idaho, and want to become a firefighter. I have no way to pay for my surgery and would like to have the total cost for my surgery by the 27th of February. However if I cannot raise that enough by that time I absolutely need to raise the money by April 13. As a full time student and being engaged money is tight, I currently work as a Professional Mover and once I have this operation I can no longer work to earn the money for surgery. I wont be able to lift heavy items and I am in the middle of a school semester, so the little money I have saved up I need to use for living expenses. I have never asked for help with money before, but right now I really need help from you.
