Supporting autistic CYP at risk of exclusion

Help me celebrate my birthday this month by enabling me to give back to a cause I am passionate about on my special day!
I am raising money to support the Association of Parents, Guardians and Carers of Autistic People in the city of Kalamata to cover part of their expenses for a training that aims to build local capacity in South Greece by training 25 education and healthcare professionals on Synergy principles of working with people at risk of social exclusion.
The training will focus on behaviours that challenge and an approach called SYNERGY that is rooted in ethical practice, the need to reduce stress and change the narrative around children who present with these difficulties.
Synergy describes an approach working with individuals who are at risk by reason of 'behaviours of concern'. Developed by AT-Autism and the Laskaridis Foundation, Piraeus, Greece, Synergy was a response to a need for Greek schools to be more inclusive of children displaying 'challenging behaviours'.
The practical approach incorporates established scientific theory (Kahneman, Rogers, Weber, Rogers; Pfaff) with a focus on:
-Changing mind-sets of teachers and narratives of schools – not child behaviours
-Reducing staff stress and improving skills in self-awareness, self-control, listening and planning
-‘Verstehen’ (Deep understanding based on the world of the other)
Culture change supported and maintained through role models and a mentor network.
