CFA Ride for the Future 2

A group of volunteers from Leicester based Community Football Academy (CFA) aim to raise £25,000 for Mental Health Awareness UK by cycling over 300 miles this summer. Setting off from Blackpool on Friday 13th August 2021, the riders will ride to Colwyn Bay (Wales) and then through Sheffield to reach Leicester on Sunday 15th August. 

 

The riders and support staff consist of all ages with various abilities and experience. This is no way whatsoever going to be an easy task and we appreciate that it will not only be mentally but physically challenging. However as a community organisation we are motivated to put all our efforts into completing this challenge in raising as much money as possible We will keep you all updated on the planning and our progress.

£5 could help update the Mental Health UK COVID-19 information hub with essential information to help people who may be feeling anxious or isolated to manage their mental health.

£10 could pay for a call to the advice and information line, supporting someone living with mental illness who may be feeling in distress during this time.

£20 could enable someone experiencing a mental health problem to access the online support community, Clic, where they can connect to others in a safe environment.

£30 could allow to promote an online support group on social media, connecting people who are feeling isolated and may be experiencing mental health problems for the first time.

£50 could contribute towards helping someone living with money and mental health problems with personalised advice and support through the Mental Health and Money Advice Service.
