Dear Family, Friends, and Community, our wonderful, smiling mother of eleven is battling cancer. Carol Agnes Cash Willis is an extraordinarily tough, wise and clever medicine woman well known to many of you already. I am her son, Jojo, and I feel it is time to call out for help! Mom is currently recieving ongoing chemotherapy sessions before she moves to Oregon to continue treatment near her grandchildren. In order to facilitate this healthful change of locale, a great group of family and friends have been remodeling a modest two bedroom single floor home. This work will give her peace of mind and close access to five of her sweet granchilluns'. However, we are Willises, and we have exhausted our financial resources and remain far from finished. While the labor continues to be voluntary, the budget for materials has run out.
Carol Willis is a greatly loved mother to more than just her eleven children. She has been a mother to all those she has welcomed to her home and table over the many years we her children have come tumbling in with anyone we found along the way. And like any mother of very large families my mother is very stubborn. So much so in fact, it is hard for us, her community, her family, to even know when she is hurting or in need. But our Mother is in great danger as her cancer continues to advance! In our times of great need we must seek aid in the deep affection of well known friends as well as from the open kindness of complete strangers.
It will take much more to bring the work to full completion in time for Mom to move in. And we would like to raise as much as possible to provide Mom with all the access to alterative healing options and the peace of mind she deserves. So! Great big family of the world, I implore you to give generously to this tireless woman and ease her financial stress as she endures the necessary chemotherapy treatments.
