Greetings. My name is Cesar Funez. I live in the city of San Pedro Sula in Cortes, Honduras. Nine years ago I was diagnosed with chronic renal failure. I receive dialysis treatment three times per week.
I have a beautiful wife and a precious little boy that I am trying to care for, but it has been difficult. I am working, but as time goes by my disease is slowly affecting my strength which is making work difficult.
Like others, I have dreams of providing my son and wife a good life and desire to help them and myself realize our dreams and goals. I am trying to study at the university also so that I might make a better living for my family.
I am seeking help so that I can receive a kidney transplant. I have two brothers who are both willing to donate a kidney. I am presently raising the funds through special activities so that we can pay for the testing they need to see if they can be donors. The help I really need is for the surgery. My specialist has informed me that the surgery will cost approximately $3,500.00. This is so much more than I am able to earn and save at the moment with all the family obligations and medical expenses I have.
A kidney transplant would give me a much better quality of life and give my wife and son a stronger man to depend on care for them. It would also make my work and study easier since I would feel better and be stronger. Please consider a donation to give me and my family the chance at a better life. Once our goal of $3500 is reached I will be able to begin scheduling the surgery.
Thank you for your kind consideration.--Cesar Funez
NOTE: Armor of Hope Ministries would like to act as a reference on behalf of Cesar Funez. We are a non-profit based in Ohio, but working in Honduras and are very aware of Cesar’s condition. Because Cesar lives outside of our service area and because his need is outside our scope of treatment we chose to serve as a reference. Cesar is an upright man with integrity who is seeking to help himself as much as possible. The funding he needs for this surgery is truly outside of his ability to provide. If you would like to contact us concerning Cesar’s case please feel free to email us at [email redacted] or contact our Executive Director, Laura Ross at; [email redacted]. We hope you will consider a donation to help Cesar.
