Help Celina's fight with Meningioma

Celina or Pinky, as our family fondly calls her, is battling a meningioma on her right cerebral lobe. She will need to undergo Gamma Knife Stereotactic Radiosurgery, a non-invasive procedure that uses radiation beams to shrink tumors. 80% of meningiomas are benign but a conclusive biopsy cannot be done due to the location of the tumor. She has consulted four doctors and all have the same findings. These doctors recommend the said procedure compared to a traditional brain surgery which is more risky. Currently, there is only one neurosurgeon in the Philippines that does this procedure therefore making it very expensive. 


As her Godparents, we watched her grow up to be an amazing young lady full of life and love. She got through highschool and college on full scholarships and worked part time throughout college all while maintaing excellent grades. She is incredibly diligent and hardworking. Last 2017, she graduated from the University of Santo Tomas with a Bachelor's Degree in Legal Management. Immediately after graduation, she started working to help put her siblings to school. We cannot say enough good things about our Pinky. Which is why it breaks our hearts that she has to go through this. 


At 21, she is only now starting to freely enjoy life. She hopes to travel the world and become a lawyer one day. Unfortunately, this tumor is threatening to derail these dreams. Pinky is strong and resilient throughout all of the hardships she has experienced and we know she will come out of this graciously and with a smile. But she needs our help. We ask you to please consider making a donation and/or sharing this with your friends and family. The procedure costs roughly $12,000 and another $2,000 for hospitalization and prescriptions.
