Celebration of Life For Kathrina Guzman
With heavy hearts we announce that my sister Kathrina (Katy) passed away unexpectedly on April 22nd. Gone too soon, Katy was only 62 years old and celebrated her birthday on April 17th- just one week before the Lord called her home). Katy had plans to retire within the next couple of months and finally be able to enjoy the fruits of her labor.
Katy dedicated nearly 35 years of her life to
the United States Postal Service in Seaside, CA and was a devoted member of Calvary Baptist Church in Marina, CA for nearly 30 years. Katy is survived by her son Ricky, who was her whole world, mother Salome, her brother Marvin (myself), her life partner Chris, along with her extended family and friends. We find comfort in knowing that she will be greeted at the gates of Heaven by her late father, Juan- a WWII Veteran and Prisoner of War.
Katy had such a captivating presence. Everyone that knew her would say that she was even more beautiful on the inside than she was on the outside. Her warm smile and joyful laugh were infectious. Katy loved spending time with her close friends and family and was always the life of the party. My sister had so much more life to live and I wish she still had the chance to do so.
We are all devastated by Katy’s unexpected loss and were not prepared for the high cost of a funeral service. We want to give Katy the memorial she deserves, to honor her memory the best we can and say our last goodbyes. We are currently asking for donations to help cover the cost of Katy’s funeral. Any amount will truly help our family during this difficult time.
Remember to always cherish the ones you love and never take them for granted, for we are never promised tomorrow. Thank you so much and stay safe.
