Celebration of Life for Alicia Christians

Donation protected

On Wednesday morning February 17th, Alicia Christians died suddenly from a pulmonary embolism. She had stopped breathing and her daughter Ava called the paramedics.  She was taken to the hospital but by the time she arrived there was nothing they could do for her.  This was a tragic and unforeseeable event that unfortunately ended her life all too soon.
Alicia was a doting and loving mother.  Her daughter Ava is 9 years old and her son Cade is 6.
Please consider a donation to assist the family in covering mortuary expenses and her memorial, in covering her bills and mortgages, and to support her children and therapies required to heal from this painful and traumatic loss.
Alicia was born in Salt Lake City and raised in Park City, Utah.  From a young age Alicia developed a fondness for being in the mountains and in nature.
She earned her bachelor's degree in biology along with a minor in anthropology from the University of Montana.
While pursuing her education she took every opportunity to continue learning about the world and traveled to many places for research such as Costa Rica and Brazil.  Along with being a seasoned traveler and accomplished in her undergrad, Alicia earned her Doctorate of Pharmacy from the University of Montana in 2008.
Alicia was a remarkable woman whose charismatic personality broke through language barriers and brought people together from all walks of life. Never a wallflower, Alicia was the life of the party. Her brave and inquisitive nature embraced every opportunity to live a full and extraordinary life.  She was an amazing storyteller, articulate, and bold. Her bright blue eyes and genuine interest in her friends and family’s lives made those who loved her feel deeply appreciated and witnessed.
Alicia was a voracious gardener; along with her abundant vegetables she always had a beautiful array of flowers on display in and around her home.
Of course, nothing in life was more beautiful than her children whom she adored above all else.  She was always going above and beyond as a mother to do everything possible to create a life of adventure and curiosity for Ava and Cade.
Alicia's father Danny, her aunt Kimmi, and her friend Chelsea are in the process of getting her obituary out and into the Park Record and the Missoulian sometime early next week. In the obituary you will find contact information for Kimmi and Chelsea.
A link to the obituary will be posted once it has been published and made available.
In the meantime, please continue to send love and prayers and posting memories to Alicia's Facebook page and here as well. We are missing her terribly and doing our best to organize a celebration of her life in the near future.
