Celebration of Life- David Flynn

David Flynn, a Veteran of the National Guard, was kind-hearted, ambitious, and deeply loved by his family and friends. His humility and soft spoken nature often belied his talent for making the room turn into rampant laughter and showing off his razor sharp intelligence. David showed a fierce passion for everything he touched and never failed to share his knowledge on almost every topic of discussion. He would never let a kind gesture pass him by and would lend an ear to anyone who needed it. Early Sunday morning, our family lost David to suicide. We are deeply saddened and hurt by his loss. His smile, witty jokes, and big hugs masked the darkness he felt beneath the surface. We noticed a difference when he came back from deployment, but could have never imagined the extent of the pain he was feeling inside. After many trials and errors to make himself right again, David sadly lost himself to the darkness within his mind. His death comes as a complete and utter shock to us all, but especially to his parents. Although he is no longer with us, David will live on in our hearts and the many memories we have of him. He is survived by his parents, Mike and Kim, and a younger brother, Jimmy. His parents are on a very fixed income and,as you know, this is something they could have never planned for. This GoFundMe, started and maintained by his cousin Becki, will be used to cover the funeral expenses. We want to give David a suiting remembrance and farewell to match the great man that he was. He may not have felt or understood his place in this world, but we know he was needed and loved more than he could ever imagined. Thank you so much for your support during this difficult time.
