Celebrate Shelly

Galatians 6:2 says, "Carry each other's burden's. and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ."  A group of friends has come together to do just that.  Shelly Walters has touched so many lives.  She not only has the gift of compassion for others, but she also has a servant's heart.  Within the church, Shelly has been a Missionette leader, a youth sponsor, a Fine Arts director, and a mission's trip sponsor.  She has invested countless hours in kids and youth spanning many, many years.  Besides being involved in organized activities within the church, she has also donated thousands of hours being that "hand extended" to so many of our youth.  When you and I were going about our daily routines, many days Shelly would be spending her time helping a teen find a place to live when he/she was homeless, helping a high school graduate fill out college papers when they had no one else, offering her home as a shelter when a teen couldn't go home at the moment, driving kids, who had no transportation, to work or church, feeding and clothing those in need, holding a hand in a courtroom, and so much more.  She did this on a daily basis for many years.

We, as a group of Shelly's friends, see a need in her life, and would love to help alleviate some of her burden, not only because we should, but also to honor her for all she has done for our own children and for others.  In recent years, Shelly has struggled to keep up with everything around her home because of her own career and her helping of others.  We would like to ask your assistance in helping take care of some of the needs, and by doing so, lift the load from Shelly.  This would be a small thank you for all she has done for investing in the lives of others.
