Honoring the Life of Lakita Brown

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved Lakita Brown. After a lifelong battle with illness, Lakita has found peace. She was a true fighter—graceful, resilient, and full of love despite the health challenges she faced every single day.

Lakita touched the lives of many with her strength and kindness. She never let her illness define her spirit, and she brought light to everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Even after having a liver transplant at the age of 8, and many hospitalizations thereafter, she pushed through. Her journey was not an easy one, but she met every day with courage and an unwavering hope that inspired us all.

We are reaching out to friends, family, and the broader community to help give Lakita the memorial she deserves. Due to her being sick from birth, she was never able to receive insurance coverage. Although, her parents had to pay for her medical expenses through financial difficulties, they did their utmost to ensure she received the medical care she needed. Any funds raised will go toward funeral and burial expenses, as well as to support the family during this incredibly difficult time.
