Help Cedes Travel with Blue Lake!
Mercedes has always loved music, both singing and playing. She was able to attend Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp in August of 2018 for Soprano Choir. This was a truly amazing part of her Summer. We recently received a letter in the mail from Blue Lake formally inviting her to join Blue Lake International Exchange Program. This is the most amazing thing, at just 12 years old, she was recognized for her great citizenship at camp and her vocal ability and was recommended by both her counselors and instructors at Blue Lake. Her father and I want nothing more than to send her on this amazing trip to tour Europe. This must sound amazing to you reading this, and it is. This could be a once in a lifetime opportunity and we are willing to do anything possible to make it happen. We are working tons of avenues to achieve the goal of sending her. Unfortunately, we are not in the place to fund this solely on our own. This trip is $6100 in total, with an $800 deposit due on October 19th.
Nick works very hard for our family and is currently the sole provider as childcare for four kids while we both work would make us lose more money than me staying home. Add in unexpected medical expenses this year when we found our Nicky (our youngest kid) was born with only one kidney after he broke his elbow. Ultrasounds, ER visits, Specialist appointments, and so much more. Mercedes herself had an MRI for her syrnix of the spine monitoring and Nick had a one year follow up ultrasound after his kidney stones last year.
We want to send her on this trip and we would be very thankful to anyone and everyone who could donate something to help us make it happen.
