Cece's Faith Walk
Donation protected
After experiencing several traumatic experiences over the past 3 years including the loss of 2 siblings to a heart attack and Breast Cancer, I was determined to find the positive things in life. I had a new perspective. I learned to find an appreciation for everything and to start enjoying the little accomplishments as well as the big.
On Feb. 20, 2017, I was faced with the biggest challenge of my life when I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. Armed with my faith and a new perspective and appreciation for life, I vowed to fight the fight. On May 18th, I underwent surgery for a double mastectomy.
3 weeks into my recovery I contracted Staphylococcus Pseudintermedius, an antibiotic resistant bacteria through my open wounds from our dog. Because of this infection, I was readmitted into the hospital for 2 ½ weeks, had to undergo emergency surgery to remove infected tissue and am now connected to a wound vac. I’m also dependent on several medications and I will have to undergo additional surgeries to remove additional tissue that was affected by this bacteria. I will require Physical as well as Occupational therapy to regain mobility and to resume my everyday functions.
Due to my inability to work and no source of income coming in, I am faced with mounting medical and household bills beyond my savings. No amount is too small and everything is truly appreciated. 100 percent of all donations will go towards treatment and recovery of this disease.
Thanks and God bless.
