Oscar Ortega Memorial Fund

 

 

This is organized on behalf of Oscar’s parent and with their full consent. 

 

At the young age of 19 Oscar Ortega was abruptly & cruelly taken from this world, leaving a hole in the hearts of those who loved and cared for him. It does not suffice to say that this is a hole that can never be filled and he will be deeply missed. To those of you who had the pleasure of knowing Oscar, you know that he was a hard-working and kind-hearted person. He was a kid full of dreams and all of the ambition and drive to reach them. As many of you know Oscar loved trucks and was heavily involved in his truck group. He loved his family and friends and was a person you could always count on. It is unfathomable how life will continue without him in it.

It is even more unfathomable that his life was cut short, that all of his dreams will remain dreams because he was robbed of the chance to LIVE life, to experience adulthood, to have a family of his own one day, to fall in love, to celebrate his 21st birthday, to experience every single little life event that many of us take for granted. It’s unfathomable that his parents will spend the rest of their lives wondering “what could have been”.

In order to save the family the pain of having to relive the details of his death, I will keep it short because I know it is human nature to be curious. Oscar was murdered on October 6th by his girlfriend's ex-boyfriend, his body was cruelly dumped in the desert where police would later find him. He was taken too soon and before his time.

We want to give Oscar Ortega the memorial he deserves, to honor his memory and say our last goodbyes.  All donations will go directly  to Oscar's parents and old brother Brian to help cover the cost of his funeral and any other expenses that may have been incurred during this difficult time.  We thank you in advance and ask that you keep Oscar and the family in your prayers.
