Help after Hurricane Ian

As many of you know, Hurricane Ian wiped out all of Fort Myers Beach on Wednesday, September 28th. Most of you may not know this, but our city was only given 12 hours notice about evacuating and by this time much of the gas was gone, roads out of town were gridlocked, and hotels were closing. I have been living on Fort Myers beach for a few years and tried to evacuate before the storm started; however, the storm surge came too quickly and I was forced to get out of my car and find the closest building down there to ride out the storm. I lost EVERYTHING in my home as well as my vehicle and everything I had inside as I was trying to leave. Getting assistance after a storm of this magnitude is virtually impossible and could take months. For now, I am simply trying to secure a place to live for at least 3-4 weeks as well as some basic necessities to survive (food, clothes, toiletries, etc). Any amount would help!! Even if you have items that you'd like to donate instead of a monetary donation - please let me know! I know there are a lot of people in need right now, so I really appreciate you taking the time to help me get back on my feet.
