SEE Studio Front Steps Project

Donation protected
I’m so excited to announce that SEE Studio Photography will be raising money for Columbus-based artists whose incomes and lives have been negatively affected by COVID-19 by offering “Front Steps” mini photography sessions.

***PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE POST.   A DONATION DOES NOT GUARANTEE A PHOTO SESSION.   PLEASE CONTACT ME HERE TO INQUIRE ABOUT A SESSION IN YOUR AREA: https://seestudiophotography.com/contact/  ***

This was inspired by local photographer Erin Brown’s IG post about the Columbus Front Steps project she started recently which benefits the Columbus Artists Relief Fund (https://www.columbusalive.com/entertainment/20200317/columbus-musicians-begin-to-navigate-shifting-uncertain-coronavirus-landscape.)
I reached out to her to ask if I could get involved and she was kind enough to give me the go-ahead to start a project.

So here is the long and short of it: you get in touch with people in your neighborhood to see if they want to help the cause. Once you have a few families on board we will schedule a time for me to come out and take your portraits in front of your home, with me at a safe distance. (I will use a zoom lens for these sessions and so am able to stay a good 10+ feet away and still capture close ups.) Prior to your session you and your neighbors will each make a donation (minimum of $30 suggested) to the artists relief fund and each sign a client release. Everything is done online so that we do not have to have physical contact. After the session I will email each family two digital images from the session with a print release. These sessions will be short and sweet: 1-2 minutes to set up and another 2-3 minutes of shooting.

Please contact me to inquire about setting up sessions in your neighborhood.  https://seestudiophotography.com/contact/

Thanks!

All funds go to Columbus Artists Relief Fund.   100% of that fund goes directly to Columbus artists who have lost work due to the shut down.   (https://www.gofundme.com/f/columbus-artist-relief-fund-covid19 )

Thanks to Cara Soulia (@carasoulia) who created the #thefrontstepsproject and allowed other photographers to use her brilliant idea.  Please check her out.
