Catslandia Sanctuary was founded in March 2019 after we noticed many cats in our area of Baja, Mexico were suffering and needed love and support.

Catslandia Sanctuary is a no-kill, lifetime-care, cat sanctuary for abandoned and homeless cats located in the mountains in Baja California Sur, Mexico. We provide a safe and healthy home for abandoned cats, in-need kittens, and feral cats who failed to thrive. We offer adoption services to place rescued cats and kittens with a loving, forever home.

Currently we have over 30 cats with more arriving weekly. Several experienced caretakers and service personnel are on site. We contract with 2 veterinary clinics in the area to provide the highest quality medical service when needed.

This Giving Tuesday we open our annual fund-raiser for daily food and medical expenses. We deeply appreciate your giving what you can so that our cats and kittens can enjoy and thrive in great condition at our facility.

List of needs:

1. Healthy food 3 times a day for 35 cats can run 2,000 USD per month. We do not feed them poor quality food.

2. Medical expenses can sometimes run 3,000 USD per month, especially when receiving new cats who require extensive medical help.

3. Daily cleaning of the facility and nearby outdoor-use areas estimated at 2,500 USD per month; four full time employees involved.

4. Emergency medical fund refill estimated at 5,000 USD in reserve.

5. Utilities ( water, gas, electricity, gasoline etc ) estimated at 300 USD per month.

Any help you can provide would be so appreciated. We have been self funded so far but now need help.
