Iesha's Top Surgery Fund- Boob Voyage

Hi my name is Iesha, I'm a black Caribbean enby living in the UK and I'm doing this fundraiser for my happiness, for my wholeness... for me. I am currently trying to raise funds for my top surgery.

 

I've tried to write this part for over a year, struggling with the pressure of feeling the need to pick myself apart for others to understand. Everyone's story and relationship with their chest is so different, and for a long time I made the mistake of comparing my journey with others. Ultimately, this created a dilemma of a great desire for top surgery but not feeling like I deserved it.

 

During lockdown a few amazing people gifted me my first binder, an act of kindness that helped me mentally, emotionally and physically. A gift that I am forever grateful for and it served its purpose. Helping to alleviate the confusion , insecurity and doubt I was feeling so intensely at the time. Now, I'm feeling confident and hopeful for the next part of my journey.

I've made a decision not to overshare because I didn't want this process to be me reliving pain, instead me embracing the beautiful things to come. 

This procedure will be life-changing for me, taking this step is a form of self-care and a declaration of self-love.

£8,080- Surgery 

£300- Gender care dysphoria diagnosis 

£165- Consultation

£200- Transportation including train tickets to Hull and Ubers to/from hospital pre op and petrol post op
