Cat Hoarding Victims

In September of 2018, the police in Paris, Tennessee, asked Forever Friends Animal Sanctuary (FFAS) to rescue nearly 30 cats from a hoarding situation.  Rescuers found cats living in their own filth and in poor health and being eaten alive by fleas, worms and other parasites.  Many cats were nearly hairless and covered in scabs and skin disease because of the infestations.  Some cats were living under the floor of the house, going in an out through a hole in the floor.  One little cat died, soon after being rescued, of one of the many illnesses the cats were experiencing without treatment.  FFAS has been removing the cats and relocating them to FFAS volunteer care.  Most of the cats are sweet and loving in spite of their miserable conditions.  The cats are receiving veterinary care and are given time to recuperate.

FFAS desperately needs help paying for the veterinary care which includes eradication of parasites, testing for Feline Leukemia and FIV, medication for illnesses, skin treatments, hospitalization, vaccinations, and spay or neuter if needed.  Even though the veterinary clinic, Lakeway Animal Clinic, has been very generous in minimizing the costs, the large and growing expenses are difficult to meet.  There are more cats to care for and every one will get the care it needs and a new adoptive or foster home when the cat is fully recovered from its horrendous experiences, but to give these cats the help they need and deserve, FFAS is asking for your donations.  Please!
