Cat been shot with air rifle
Donation protected
‼️ Anything over and above the vet bills will be donated to a local cat protection charity‼️
As of (7.12.21) the vet bills are sitting at £2003
This is Orla, a 1 year old cat.
I went out to work as normal 9am-3pm and come home to find her limping and bloody.
Rushed her to the vets asap, to be told that she has been shot by an air rifle!!
She has a comminuted fracture - the type where her bone has completely shattered. She is having at least 3 nights stay in the vets and a massive surgery. We may or may not be able to save her leg it might need amputated depending on the severity when they operate.
Myself and my daughter are absolutely devastated.
One of the worst things is, shes only just started going outside and doesn't travel far so it has been done close to home!
Stupidly i cancelled her insurance a few months ago when i moved home.
I am now faced with trying to find the money or have her put down and break our hearts
When speaking with the vet he estimated the cost at around £1500 if the surgery goes well, if we have to amputate or there are complications it could near the £2,000 mark - this is just for the surgery, not including X-rays pain medication etc.
Anything you could give to help us bring our baby home would be hugely appreciated in ways i cant repay.
Thank you
