Cast Sunshine on Steph Lemire

Since the afternoon of August 1, 2018, Stephanie Lemire has been in a critical fight for her life battling an unexpected health crisis deemed quite rare at her young age. Without wanting to overstep her privacy too much, we can confirm Stephanie has quickly become a medical anomaly among the professionals assigned to her care and even those doctors who don’t have the privilege of having her as their patient- have voiced they are just as perplexed by her unique and critical health situation.  

Though her beautiful self is now awake, alert, (slowly back on her cell phone as of this week as this morning being her first Facebook post!) she’s now begun this long road of recovery. We are happy to share she is driven to push herself to heal, anxious to break free from the hospital (though that’s not happening yet), and she’s currently working on her speech recovery which is GREAT!  Steph’s medical team of specialists, doctors, and nurses in the ICU and step-down units have confirmed she has an anticipated several months of recuperation between her current stay in the hospital and soon to follow, a transfer to an acute neurological care facility.  She will be rehabilitating her body and mind with set intentions to fully gain back her strength and motor functions.

Thank you to all the family and countless friends who have continually reached out during this past month… Stephanie and our family could have never imagined such a genuine abundance of prayers, love, and endless support.  As we all know… Stephanie is an amazing, beautifully free-spirited, positive thinking independent woman with a kind soul and a determined fierce warrior within her pushing her through these challenging days ahead.  

Real life duties such as her cherished job at Sayulita has been generously paused for now, though life itself and its many obligations do not share such empathy.  Many of you have asked how to help and repeatedly inquired about a GoFundMe Page… so we’ve decided to take your advice and put this together for her.  ANY contribution you can offer or part with would greatly help to relieve the stress of extensive medical bills, insurance costs, mortgage payments, routine house bills, and care for her fur babies, Charlie and Ollie. 

Please leave her a written message here as well, she is now able to read and receive them and is wonderfully appreciative of all the sentiments of hope and love that have already come her way.
