Cassie's Costa Rican Mission Adventure
This July I have the amazing opportunity to spend 8 days in Carrillos, Costa Rica with my new church family on a mission trip through the United Methodist organization Strong Missions! The volunteers from FUMC Celina and I will be working to build homes and continuing to build community churches that will have the capacity to feed those who are hungry and care for those who need it. For more info feel free to visit www.strongmissions.com
This past year has been tough, moving to a new place, leaving my church families behind in California and figuring out where I, as a college graduate (and technically an adult), fit in. The reason I felt called to be in ministry with the amazing folks at FUMC Celina was their strong focus on missions. Being invited to Costa Rica has helped solidify my choice and given me excitment for the future. I may not know what career my future holds, but I do know that giving of my time, energy and faith is what God has called me to do and going to Costa Rica is first on my list!
...Of course being a recent college grad limits my finances, which brings me to the whole reason for this page; if you feel called and are able I ask that you give what you can. I appreciate everything you do for me and will make sure your donation is put to an amazing use! Prayers always needed and welcomed!
The cost of the mission trip itself is about $700 and the plane ticket there will cost about $700 as well. For a full break down of cost please email me directly: [email redacted]
If you would rather you may send your donation straight to FUMC Celina:
