Casey Wicks Recovery Fund

On September 28th my beautiful wife Casey suffered a major medical event. After going into urgent care for what she believed was a routine cold, she was found to have extremely low oxygen saturation levels and was immediately transported to St. Clare hospital. Within one day her condition worsened to full intubation and sedation in the ICU. Within two days she was placed in an induced coma and rushed to a specialty trauma one center in Portland, Oregon. For two weeks her family and I rallied around her bedside as doctors in the NTICU fought to keep her alive. After what seemed to be an eternity, the doctors finally reported the blood in her lungs had cleared enough to lower her ventilator dependence and allow her lungs the chance to begin working again. With the dedicated care if the NTICU doctors and nurses Casey slowly regained consciousness and came back to us. We are so grateful to have our Casey back. Unfortunately, her road to recovery is shaping up to be a long one. Casey cannot yet stand under her own power or do much of anything on her own. She is still reliant on a constant flow of oxygen to assist her lungs. In the coming months Casey will be undergoing intense physical therapy to get her muscles back to normal and allow her body to operate effectively. Unfortunately the emergency fund for events like these has already been depleted. It is unknown when Casey will be back to work and our funds are limited as I continue to spend my time focused on her care. Our hearts are so full and grateful to have Casey, however, the financial stress is a burden we are struggling to bear. Any help would be so appreciated. We certainly are not the type to ask for handouts or help but we have run out of options. Thank you so much for your help and consideration.
