Meet Casey & Larry Ward! Both Paramedics in this region. Between them, over 33 years of serving people in their time of crisis. They met while working in Atlanta for Grady EMS and in 2016, decided to relocate to Charleston to raise their family. Larry and Casey knew they had finally found their home and settled down to raise a family. They married in 2017 and had a beautiful daughter, Reagan (3yr). In March of 2019, they found themselves preparing for their family to grow even more and began preparing for a new baby girl to join their happy home! Layton was born in November of 2019 and was PERFECT!!! 10 little toes and 10 little fingers!! They had never been happier! Casey took some time off of work to care for Layton while Larry worked to support their growing little family! In February of 2020, Casey began preparing to go back to work when they were hit with the news. Casey has just been diagnosed with Cancer… With multiple systems involved, Casey and Larry have already begun to fight!!! They have begun with many tests and procedures and will be beginning aggressive treatments in Atlanta very soon!! With the recent diagnosis there is so much to do and take care of on top of caring for 2 small children in the process!! Their brothers and sisters in Public Safety have decided to join the fight with them starting NOW!! In this family, NO ONE FIGHTS ALONE!!! Please join us in taking care of 2 of our own!
