Cary Johnson & Family

Cary Johnson and his family (wife Kelley and son Jaron) recently received the devastating news that Cary has leukemia for the third time in his short 41 years of life. Cary was initially diagnosed with leukemia in 2013. After months in the hospital away from his family, he went into remission. In 2014, Cary suffered a relapse and once again was separated from his family for months while he received chemotherapy and eventually a stem cell transplant. The stem cell transplant was successful and Cary went into remission once again. Cary continued to be very ill for over a year as he suffered from the effects of the stem cell transplant, including Graft Versus Host Disease. A few weeks ago, Cary began experiencing symptoms and was subsequently diagnosed with a myeloid sarcoma with acute myeloid leukemia relapse for a third time. They later found out the leukemia spread to his central nervous system as well. Relapsing after a stem cell transplant is rare and complex, but can hopefully be treated successfully. Cary is once again beginning a rigorous treatment, but must travel three hours away from his home to Morgantown, WV. He will be receiving chemotherapy, radiation, and other treatments during this time. During Cary's long illness, he has been unable to work leaving his wife as the only means of financial support for their family. As they are facing this horrible diagnosis once again, they are also facing the fear of an uncertain financial future. I ask that you fervently pray for Cary's healing, as well as peace and courage for him and his family. However, please also consider donating to this sweet, generous, and loving family.
