Carolina de Miguel Moyer Award

This is a fundraiser for an academic award honoring Dr. Carolina de Miguel Moyer, who passed away on August 20th, 2020. 

Our dear friend Carolina (Carol) was an Assistant Professor of Political Science at the University of Toronto. She received her M.A. (2006) and Ph.D. (2012) from the Department of Political Science  at the University of Michigan with a focus in Comparative Politics, American Politics, and Methods. Her dissertation was titled, "The Price of Territorial Politics: Economic Geography, Political Institutions and Party Systems." Within her fields of study, Carol was establishing herself as "an important scholar of parties, electoral behavior, federalism and decentralization, and political geography." 

The Council of European Studies (CES) has kindly agreed to create a Carolina de Miguel Moyer Young Scholar Award to honor Carol. This fundraiser aims to collect funds in support for this award. We would like to be able to raise enough funds to have the award in place for at least 25 years ($10,000). However, if we surpass this goal, we will be able to fund the award for a  longer period of time.

The funds will be directly deposited to CES to fund the Carolina de Miguel Moyer's award.
