Help Keep Imagine Coffee Open

Donation protected
Eight friends opened Imagine Coffee in September 2011.  Our vision was to provide a place where people could come together in community, to offer a venue for the arts, and to help the needy.

Our customers, now our friends, are the reason we exist today.  They come to visit with friends or meet new ones.  They come to read a book or, sometimes, to write one; to study; to work away from the office or have a business meeting; to celebrate birthdays; to play games; to enjoy the art on the walls; to listen to local bands.   Charities hold fundraisers here.  People often tell us how glad they are that we have created this place.  And so are we.

On March 17, we closed temporarily due to the coronavirus pandemic.   Our desire is to reopen as soon as possible.  However, costs such as rent and utilities continue to add up.  In addition, we have outstanding bills from our vendors, without income to cover them.  Other unpaid expenses include a new espresso machine, a coffee grinder and a commercial blender.  It is clear to us that, unless we can pay down a significant amount of this debt, we will not be able to reopen.

It feels awkward to ask for help.  We know that many of you are experiencing financial difficulties at this time.   But we would be extremely grateful for any donations that come our way.  Even the smallest amount helps.

Thank you so much.
