Its with great sadness and a heavy heart that we put together this page in honor of Carol Dodge. Carol was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, sister in law, aunt, cousin, best friend, friend and colleague to so many.
Carol was beyond special. I feel truly blessed to have known her for so many years. She was a person who always made you feel welcome. She had the biggest heart. She cared; cared so much about others and never put herself first. She was always the first to offer to help and would give you the shirt off her back. She loved to laugh. She was emotional, but still that strong / silent driving force. She was a great listener, yet someone who would give sound advice on life: what to do, what not to worry about, understanding people / their struggles, living life to the fullest and always remembering to laugh. She is one the hardest workers I know; a loyal and company minded employee for so many years. She lived for her family and loved them with every ounce of her being. Married 44 years to the love of her life, her best friend. Two amazing daughters, she was so incredibly proud of. Two beautiful grandchildren, she was just in love with. She loved spending time with her family - spur of the moment get together's, BBQ's, karaoke, casinos. She loved her life and all of the people in it.
The family spent this past week in Rhode Island on their Annual vacation; something Carol loved to do. All of her family at the beach house they visited for 25+ years. How do you comprehend going away on a beautiful family vacation and having that vacation end with saying goodbye to the most important person in your life? No one was ready for this and sadly this was the reality they were now faced with.
I'm filled with so many emotions right now. I could go on and on about how life isn't fair!!!! I found out Carol was diagnosed with Cancer right after Trish's wedding. Its only been a few short months and now were faced with saying goodbye. Saying goodbye way too soon!!!
As you can imagine the family was not prepared for this. These past few months they have incurred many unexpected expenses. In Lieu of flowers a GoFundMe page has been set up to help alleviate some of financial stress they are now faced with.
