Don protégé
Carol Arriola is a beautiful, intelligent, and wonderful 69 year old woman. She is still young and full of life. Unfortunately, her heart is not doing so well.
On 3/21/2021, Carol Arriola was medivaced to Peacehealth St. Joseph Medical Center, in Bellingham. Upon arrival she was immediately taken into surgery to have a stent put in a blocked artery. While in surgery, the Cardiologist saw more serious problems.
At 4:00pm on 3/22/21 she was transported by Ambulance to Swedish Hospital ICU. On 4/3/2021, the Cardiologist Doctor (Sameer Gafoor), put 2 stents in 2 partially blocked arteries. Then, in the back upper left side of her heart, he put a micro clamp on the bleeding valve.
On 4/4/2021, she had a breathing tube put in her throat to help her breathe. On 4/11/2021, she had a tracheotomy tube put in her trachea, and on 4/12/2021, her feeding tube was put in her abdomen.
Carol Arriola is looking at being hospitalized until September/October. Upon release, she is looking at 2 months of nursing home respiratory care.
Meanwhile, Norman Arriola (Carol’s husband) has remained by her side. He plans to stay by her side for as long as he can.
Between medical bills, regular bills, cost of food, cabs...this is taking an astronomical toll financially on the Arriola family.
Any help at this time would be greatly appreciated.
